Ann Logsdon is a freelance writer whose work is featured on About.com, a New York Times company. Ann has been the guide for the Learning Disabilities site since 2006. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and earned master's and education specialist degrees in School Psychology. She has also completed post-graduate courses in special education law, mediation, school administration, and special education financial management.

As with most writers, Ann's background is diverse. Her earliest experiences involved working for a National Public Radio affiliate as an announcer and feature reporter. With The Learning Channel (TLC), Ann assisted with technical operations and advertising placement. To round out her interest in educational media, Ann sought further study in educational and counseling psychology with a special emphasis on exceptional children.

Ann has been a school psychologist and director of special education programs from K-12 and is currently a complaint investigator for exceptional children at the state level.

As a hobby, Ann has been interested in psychology and the paranormal since childhood and is especially interested in the interplay between cultural legends, psychology, and paranormal experiences. Ann has taken classes in ghost hunting and has been happily hunting ghosts for several years.
